Customizing your vehicle can not only set it apart from other vehicles in appearance, but can provide a nice satisfaction to you that your vehicle is a one-of-a-kind and tailored for your particular styling. Customization is not just for those who wish to enter car shows, but also for those who want a unique vehicle styled to their tastes. Take for example the photo on the left. The step-shield, though unfinished in the photo, was cut by hand to suit a particular design desired by the truck owner for that particular truck. From the outside with the doors closed, nobody would know they were there, even if they peeked in a window. But as soon as the doors open, the whole world gets to glimse and appreciate the customization. However, the truck they were put on was not a show truck at the time, it was a daily driver/hauler, so typically only the owner and a handful of others were able to appreciate the customization. The owner didn't mind, he wanted it for his benefit, he wasn't concerned with others thoughts on it.
